Video clips have always been manipulated, the press seems to exist only to incite us to fear and AI is making everything more confusing.
Don’t buy into BS. When truth is hard to come by, it’s essential to not get knocked about from information that’s presented to you. Become a skeptic – even about good things.
Fake news, partial or cropped info, conspiracy theories, meme logic
Someone recently came to me with a conspiracy theory clip – they seemed so excited to have found the ‘smoking gun.’ They asked me what I thought and I said, I don’t – I have other things to think about.
Why do you want to avoid conspiracy theories? Can you actually do anything about it? Does the knowing of what’s true change your life in some way? Does it affect you at all?
If not, all your doing is giving your brain more BS to bang around. If it’s not serving you to know, what is it doing? Creating stress. Stress = symptoms. Symptoms = you’re hurting yourself.
Feeling ‘bad’ without knowing the whole story isn’t good for you. When we let ourselves get dragged around emotionally by news cycles, conspiracy theories or even reality TV – we are literally hurting ourselves.
Decide. Decide who you want to be, how you want to be. Then, no matter what anyone else is doing or saying, be it. Lead yourself with love and watch your life get easier.
