I’m talking about the things you consume with your eyes and ears. You can’t unsee, unhear or unfeel things – including things that hurt you.

I did not realize the impact this had on my wellbeing until I stopped.

My life has been very challenging. I’ve had a lot of pain – physical + emotional.

Years ago, I heard Deepak Chopra say you could turn your mind from a battleground into a playground and I actually succeeded in doing that!

Instead of just being victim to my own toxic thoughts, I drown them out with a Soundtrack for my Life. All upbeat, positive, kickass songs. Having my fave artists in my ears - while walking, shopping - gives an instant up.

Motivational speakers in audiobooks or YouTube videos encouraging me to look at life through the right lens – to reinforce the personal growth lessons I was working on at the time.

I started with muting all the TV commercials, especially the ones for prescriptions. I started watching less and less TV.

Wildly I noticed every time the person I was in a relationship with would watch 90 Day Fiancé… he would start fights with me over nothing.

We are all being programmed, even if we are not actively listening. The news, social media, TV. Going back to discernment – be a good chooser of what you put inside your head. Try cutting things out and see if it makes a difference in how you feel about yourself every day.
