This video is for anyone living a challenging life, anyone in an overwhelmed phase of life, or anyone dealing with something that just sucks.

This is the Daily Dose of Dawn at dawn, videos designed to expand your thinking.

So, why do we want to learn this?

Because we can only pay attention to so many things at a time. And if lots of them suck, we can forget that good even exists.

Wow, Dawn, you say that like someone who knows what that feels like.

Why yes, I do.

I was 41 years old before I knew what it felt like to be truly happy for the first time.

How’s that possible?

Because I had a crappy life. I had a difficult childhood. I was picked on a lot and I had a lot of health issues and financial issues and relationship issues. And for 41 years, I just let my circumstances stand between me and happiness.

And then one day it just bonked me on the head out of nowhere. And I wanted to hold on to it.

So I started living Happy Matters.

I remember that happy matters.

And why does happy matter?

Happy matters because when things are hard, happy is like a little hug. It’s like a little buoy. It’s like a little poofy step up. It’s a helper feel. It helps you through the hard stuff.

And that makes happy super valuable.

So, in order to access this wonderful happy magic, we simply have to remember that happy matters.

So if you want to get this magnet, you can pop over to DailyDoseOfDawn.com and click on Get the Dose, sign up for delivery, and if you’re in the U.S., I will mail it to you. I made it myself. It’s so cute. I know.

You stick it on your fridge and then every day you’ll see it and you’ll be like, “Oh, remember happy matters.”

That’s right. Happy Matters.

And then the next thing that you have to do is remember that happy is all around you all the time. And if you just look around, you’re sure enough to see something that will make you a little bit happy.

And then once you see the thing that makes the corners of your lips turn up, you have to give yourself permission to let yourself feel happy about it even though you’re still going through the hard thing.

And that is living Happy Matters.

And so when I’m living Happy Matters, and you’re living Happy Matters, and he is and she is and they are, it’s going to ripple out into the world.

And it will help people remember to look up.

About the Author

Dawn Super is a resilience coach, speaker, and writer who helps people thrive — not someday, but right now, exactly as they are. She knows firsthand what it’s like to live with lifelong health challenges, including narcolepsy, and has made it her mission to teach others how to show up for themselves with compassion, courage, and a little bit of humor and sass.
Known for her “mindset magic strategies,” Dawn brings a blend of practical tools, soulful insight, and real-talk encouragement to anyone ready to stop waiting for permission to love themselves. Her work speaks especially to those who’ve felt left out, misunderstood, or stuck on the sidelines — the misfits, the dreamers, the rebels, and the overcomers.
When she’s not coaching, creating, or writing, you might find her picking up rusty metal at the beach, virtually socializing, or laughing along at life. Dawn believes that self-love isn’t just a buzzword — it’s a radical act of rebellion in a world that profits from your doubt.
