Confidence and self-esteem aren’t traits you’re born with—they’re skills you practice. In this Daily Dose of Dawn at dawn, Dawn Super explores how confidence is built through action, self-trust, and repetition, not perfection or outside validation. This episode reframes self-esteem as something you actively create from the inside, offering a practical, empowering way to move through doubt, imposter syndrome, and fear while staying true to yourself.

You can practice anything in life.

This video is for anyone who struggles with self-esteem, confidence, or even imposter syndrome.

This is the daily dose of Dawn at dawn, number 108. videos designed to expand your thinking.

So why do we want to learn this? Because no one is born with self-esteem or confidence. And many of us were born into environments where those things were not taught or fostered.

Welcome back to my happy matters collective. If you're new here, thanks for giving us a try.

So, how did this come into my awareness? Well, I'm actually working on a memoir. It's called Becoming Super. That's my last name.

And one of the main stories is about confidence and becoming super.

At the time I had an opportunity to get a gig with a a light bulb importer and I had a certain level of the experience for the gig, but there were things that I just didn't know.

So each time something would come up that I wasn't sure about, I would just go look it up and figure it out and make a phone call and get the answer and make it happen.

And the gentleman I was working with was very pleased with the progress that we were making.

And about a month in, he said to me, "Wait a minute, wait a minute. Your email address is dawn super at email dot com

because you're engaged to someone and their last name is Super?

And I said, "Yeah."

Did you think I was just full of myself?

And they said, "Yes."

The greatest lesson that I got out of that whole experience is no one knows what you know and what you don't know and no one knows what you're thinking.

So be brave.

If someone asks you a question and you don't know the answer, they don't know that you're thinking in your head, "I have no idea."

So just say, "let me get back to you on that."

No matter what it is, confidence comes from doing.

It comes from how you feel about you inside of you, not from how other people perceive you.

You create what they perceive all by yourself.

This is one of my magnets that I created that really helps me every time I'm trying to take on something new.

I notice something needed to be different, to change, what have you.

I identify some strategies that I can try to make it different.

Whether it's doing something different, looking at it different, thinking about it in a different way, and then practicing that strategy until I overcome the thing I noticed and become a different person.

In some ways, it's like guiding yourself through a haunted house.

You're holding your own hand, practicing self-esteem through the voices that try to derail you, to scare you into giving up your authenticity and make you start doubting yourself.

And that's where your self-esteem starts to take a hit.

And you create self-esteem. You create confidence. You create all of these feelings inside of you.

And if you're not sure how to do that, it's such a great time to be alive because you can literally just type it into the search bar and someone like me will pop up with an answer.

Share these things if they make a difference for you.

It's when we learn new things, when we learn a new way to look at things, that's when life really explodes for us.
